Creating safe, affordable, long-term housing where women of all ages can live and thrive

The Mission

Develop an effective, repeatable program that can be a major weapon in the fight against homelessness in the Charlotte area and beyond

The Vision

In the fight against homelessness, something’s missing in the Continuum of Care.

Hope Village Townhomes

Concept

Hard-working women that are near the poverty line have a difficult time finding affordable, safe places to live

There are few or no options between temporary shelters or rehab centers and assisted homeownership

Often, these women (and their children if they have them) are forced to live in apartments or mobile homes in unsafe areas. Or worse - extended stay hotels or even their cars

Project 29:11 will develop and operate safe, low-maintenance, beautifully designed townhomes for women and their children - starting with Hope Village

Values

  1. Compassion - We meet people where they are, and act with empathy and sensitivity.

  2. Honor - We will create excellent spaces that demonstrate to our residents that they are made in the image of God.

  3. Collaboration - We partner with other organizations to provide support for our residents’ needs. We create cooperative communities where the residents help each other.

  4. Focus - We will concentrate on providing housing, while leaning on other organizations to provide residents’ other needs.

  5. Multiplication - We will create and continually refine a duplicatable system that will help other cities and regions solve the same challenge.
